What the certificate changes
Use DOS-1359-f to update the county of the LLC office, the post office address where the Secretary of State sends process, the email for electronic-service notices (add, change or delete), or a registered-agent designation (make, change or revoke). A separate $5 version exists for agents updating their own address.

Many NYC owners list Albany County at formation because newspaper publication there costs far less than Manhattan or Brooklyn. Finish all six weekly publications, file DOS-1708-f with both affidavits, and then file DOS-1359-f to move the office county to where the LLC operates. Under § 206, later changes to notice information do not require republication once the six weeks are complete. A change between the first and sixth publication allows completion of the original notice, but waiting avoids confusion.

Mail or deliver to NYS Department of State, Division of Corporations, One Commerce Plaza, 99 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12231. Make payment payable to Department of State. DOS expedite adds $25 for 24 hours, $75 for same day when received by noon, or $150 for two hours when received by 2:30 p.m. The expedite fee applies even if the filing is rejected.
